Danny,

Thanks for the comment, this post was one of the first commetns I made on twitter months ago, but just relaunched these Web Savvy PR tips again, now that I have a larger subscriber/follower base.

It was also sparked, in part, by our discussion the other day on Twitter on the same issue. I still am a fence sitter on this issue. For us Twitter users - it helps that http://twitter.com/search/users is now back uyp and running - so you can search for folks by first name, last name, twitter ID or e-mail address. YEAH!

A Social Media client and were just chatting about it today as well. He is creating his second blog - and was bouncing ideas for it's title off of me. We went with keyword, his name and his handle - and for a blog title it works - his social media handle ( which relates to what he does and his main website name keeps it dynamic). The blog hasn't launched yet, so I won't name names yet. But it is not an easy choice; at least to me!

Great advice, Cathy, and couldn't agree more with having a recognizable profile across whatever social tools you're using.

I have to admit to being guilty of not using Danny Brown on Twitter - sadly someone has it already (even though they last used it a year ago!). But using my company name has seen both that and my own name recognized now, so it's working out okay (for now!).
